The things described in the explanatory text are in the form of natural and social phenomena. ☆ General structure of explanation text:  ■ This section specifies what phenomena will be described.  ■ Sequenced explanation (explanation in sequence) ■ This section describes the process sequence of an event. In other words, this text is argumentative. □ is usually found in journals, newspapers, speeches, scientific books, journals, magazines, and so on. ¤ The purpose of this text is to make the reader or listener aware of an issue raised by the author or speaker. Exposition Features ● Argumentative text accompanied by supporting reasons. Using Simple Present Tense ● Using conjunctions such as first, second, third, next, furthermore, additionally and so on. ● Use evaluative words such as important, valuable, trustworthy, and so on. ● Using causal conjunctions, for example, as a result, because, by, consequently, despite, due to, for that reason, and so on.
